Lipscomb Honor Flight
ESCAMBIA COUNTY - Today big announcements about next year's Emerald Coast Honor Flight.

Escambia School District has pledged to sponsor the flight and the schools are working to raise at least 25,000 dollars.

As part of the efforts- it's cami day at Lipscomb Elementary School.
In a unique fundraiser this morning students were allowed to wear camouflage if they made a one dollar donation to the Honor Flight fund.

Students were ready and willing to help support the sixth honor flight and show their appreciation for our military.

We're hoping to send Mr. Vickery who comes in each year with his drums and he's a WWII veteran. And we want to send him to Washington DC to see the memorials that are dedicated to his services.

Coming up tonight on Channel 3 News, find out how one fifth grade teacher at Lipscomb took military appreciation one step further and showed his students what it means to earn their places.
