Clarinda Triangle
PENSACOLA - A major development Tuesday for the superfund site known as "Clarinda Triangle"
That area includes Clarinda Lane, North Pace Boulevard, Loretta Street, and North Palafox Street.
Residents were moved from the area because of soil and groundwater contamination.
Demolition could begin at the site as soon as friday.
A new recommendation is being considered at Thursday night's Escambia County Commission meeting.
The resolution would allow the county to team up with the Army Corps of Engineers to demolish, remove, and clean-up structures in Clarinda Triangle.
The area would then be turned into a commerce park.
If approved, the agreement between escambia county and the A-C-O-E would start friday.. and last one year. Clarinda Triangle
