Comment: I currently recycle everything I can voluntarily taking it to the Myrtle Grove drop off location. I even participate in the Regional Rounds-ups. After attending the Earth Day event last year, my husband and I were able to inspire his company to participate in environmentally friendly practices, including recycling. They have around 80 employees. Most of them now recycle at their homes as well. A manager there has implemented a neighborhood recycling program where she lives. I think it all starts with taking just one step. You nurture it until your comfortable with it, and then finally commit to it. We can do it as a community if we try. from Pensacola by Renee
Comment: NO!ecua will be making money on this, they can give a brake on my trash pick up ,
not just a dollar or two
but a real brake , the county had a recyling plant at the land fill an just let go to pot .Ithink they just did not want to fund it .$$$$ again NO!! from PENSACOLA by JAMES
Comment: No We have enough trash pickers now, don't need more people fighting over a soda can, or picking through my trash. and Id theft what next from W. Pensacola by Bob
Comment: Absolutly, I would pay! If we truly recycled items designed to be recycled. So many times we recycle only clear glass, or only Sunday news papers. We as a country need to get a grip on our recycling programs, and stop filling dump sites. If we allow the counties to pick and choose the easiest items to recycle, then the money is not being well spent. from Navarre Fl by Shannon
Comment: reduce regular pick up to one day.next pick up for recycle in separate container. from p,cola fl by tom
Comment: I think it's a good idea but the consumer should not have to pay for it. from pensacola by patricia
Comment: It would save us money not to have to drive to the recycle bins. Since we started recycling we only put our garbage can out once a week, sometimes less!! Roadside recycling was very important in Texas and would be of great benefit here. I hope they will do it,
Thanx and God Bless,

Comment: Allready pay enought for garbage. from Cant,Fl by J
Comment: make it work in escambia county so santa rosa will pick it up again soon after. from Milton/FL by Mike
Comment: My husband and I have recycled for the past 7 years. We do not think that it is "inconvenient" to use the drop off locations. Yes he does drive around with trash in his car but we keep a lot of items out of the land fill. We have 2 small children and can not afford to pay for any additional services, like curb side recycling, especially since it is FREE at the present time. People should recycle because it is the right thing to do, not because it is convenient! from PENSACOLA / FL by T
Comment: I would absolutely pay for curbside recycling. Currently I use the dropoff locations. This would be a convenience fee to me and well worth it. I would also like to see some sort of price break on garbage pickup for those like me who try to reduce and reuse before even recycling. I never fill one of those enormous ECUA trashbins. Often I skip a pickup day because I haven't filled a bag yet. Maybe reduce garbage pickup days to 1 per week and convert the other to recycling. from Pensacola, FL by Karen
Comment: No, I would not want to pay for this service. If nothing else, they should have to pay us for accepting the service. They will take the recycled materials and sell them, so why should they be making money from us, then we take our time to separate the materials and then they sell the materials to make money again. from Pensacola, Florida by C
Comment: it depends...if recycled material can be sold...the costs should not go up... from p'cola by h
Comment: I am relieved to hear that it is being concidered. My only concern is the pick-up for these. Unless they are properly rinsed before placing in the containers, for instance soft drink cans, its an attraction for bees, flys as well as ants. A twice a week pick up would help this problem a lot, or have these objects placed in plastic bags as we do our trash. But, I truely want to see this happen. from Pensacola/Florida by Bonnie
Comment: Maybe it is just me, but trash is trash. Once it is put into a garbage can, whatever is done with it after it is picked up by a reputable collection agent is the sole problem of the collection agent. If they choose to seperate for recycling purposes, they can go for it--don't ask me to pay for their choice. I'm not going to be here a century from now, and this world is not the way it was a century ago either; that's life-it evolves whether we want it to or not. Incineration of "trash" seems a good answer to me. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: I believe that the only way you'll 100% participation of recycling is to make it mandatory just like taking out our trash. from Pensacola by Belinda
Comment: I recycle as it is but the convenience of just taking my things to the end of the driveway would be much easier. Everywhere else we have lived (both coasts), we had curbside recycling. The Florida panhandle needs to get up to speed with the rest of the country. Shift the paradigm people!! from Pensacola, Fl by Jeremy
Comment: We are pay too much for curbside pickup
Comment: We inb Crestview pay enough already for Garbage. Why should anyone have to pay to save the earth. by Sonya
Comment: my recycled material is raw material for another product. The collector should pay me for my raw materials. from Navarre, FL by Gene
Comment: Everyone should be responsible for their own waste. If you have time to go to the grocery store, you have time to take your recyclables to a drop off point. Get over the gifts of "free" cycle and take responsibility for yourself! Here is an interesting recycle program that should be emulated everywhere.

Comment: I recycle now and would love to do it curbside - but not at an additional cost. from Pensacola, Florida by Larry
Comment: Why can't the county sell the recyclables? Maybe I'm missing something here but it seems like it could be selfsupporting. from Pensacola by Timothy
Comment: Once a week garbage and once a week recycle pickup is all that is needed. If you need an extra can, then yes pay extra. Other cities that I have lived in did not charge extra. You were allowed 3 bags of garbage picked up once a week and your recycle once a week. If you had more than 3 bags then you were charged extra from Pace, FL by Eric
