Comment: Not using taxpayers money, no. If they want to do the research, then use private funds by voluntary donations from individuals. from Cantonment, Fl. by Jeff
Comment: I support funding. Our government spends millions of dollars a year on Marching Bands (no disrespect to Marching Bands) they can spend money to help develop better medical treatments too. from Pace, FL by Eddy
Comment: I fully support the funding since it has been a proven research tool. Medical research and advancements should not be stifled by a few mislead individuals. from Pensacola, FL by Steve
Comment: We allow abortions. Why waste the fetuses, or stop abortions. from Milton by Tom
Comment: There has been sucesses in Umbilical Coad stim cells and adult stim cell research but not in embryonic stem cells. from Pensacola, FL by Ronald
Comment: If Bush hadn't cut funding for embryonic stem cell research ten years ago, my daughter who has ALS might have life-saving treatment by now. Please contact your congress member and ask for a reversal of policy. from Coden, AL by Sarah
Comment: These are just cells right now. Not human beings that could survive on their own. Why not use them? from Pensacoal, FL by Denise
Comment: I have MS so I have a vested interest in this. If there is a chance that this research can help me and others afflicted with any disease or injury, I am definitely for it. Since abortion is legal then let the fetuses help those of us who made it to birth from pensacola, fl. by Shirley
Comment: Definitly YES!! This will help in finding new cures for diseases. How can anyone say no?? from Pensacola, Fl.. by Frank
Comment: There are so many things in the medical fiekd we still do not understand, I feel it would be a crime not to do research I personally do not understand why people get so upset. There is not a human being involved it is a cell, think of it like a "cancer cell" are we not to learn from them too? Maybe anyone who appose this can put their names on a list and if God forbid them or their loved ones get sick we know they do not want whatever help this research turns up. from Navarre, FL by Laurie
Comment: It's a good thing!!! from Navarre by Susan
Comment: Stem Cell Research is a needed to find cures for all types of cancers. from Navarre,Fl. by C J
Comment: I do believe the research is fundamental to science and medicine, however, I think it should be from donations or the private industry. from Molino, FL by Marjorie
Comment: Create jobs by us funding tax $$$ to destroy an embryo? Do it and you will never stop the rationalization of anything. But if your rich enough you can just slide a few bucks under the table and our law makers will take care of you! from Pensacola,Fl by Flower
Comment: With any luck at all stem cell research will result in a more lucid and healthy society..without we are doomed to the darkages we now live in from Pensacola, fl by Michael
Comment: Stem cell research needs to continue. An embryo from a research dish is NOT going to become a human. The problems as mentioned above, are just the begining of what weare to cure. The one thing stem cell research will not cure, ignorance of what God wants us to accomplish in this world. from Crestview by John
Comment: I support embryonic stem cell research. There are so many people with bad diseases that it seems wrong to me to not try to conduct experiments to improve the health of those who are already functioning human beings and not a single stem cell. from Pensacola by Lee
