YOUR 3 CENTS WEB POLL

Senate Race: Who will you vote for in the race for the U.S. Senate?

41.66% Charlie Crist (I)
51.19% Marco Rubio (R)
3.57% Jeff Greene (D)
3.57% Kendrick Meek (D)

Comment: Both Democrats and Republicans have proved they are incapable of meeting in the middle all they can do is fight with the other party. Nothing gets done. so I want someone who is not tied to one extreme of the other from Pensacola by NeaL

Comment: He's a democrat and new to Florida politics from Navarre, FL by Vickie

Comment: Crist has pleased me with his efforts to save the Everglades, protect teachers' jobs and admit that a woman should not have to pay for an ultrasound herself before having an abortion. He said, "It's a personal matter." He seems to be in touch with the regular people of the state of Florida. He is pleasant and speaks well and tried to get oil drilling something the citizens of Florida could vote on. All in all he is way above the character of any of his opponents. He has my vote for sure. from Pensacola by Lee

Comment: Floridians like the idea of a Senator not beholden to either party. I think Charlie Crist will look out for Florida instead of what's best for Democrats or Republicans. An Independent for President? Maybe the time has come.... from Pensacola, FL by Roy

Comment: Governor Crist is getting my vote. I have been an independent voter for 30 years, leaving the republican party disillusioned. I believe that Governor Crist has proven leadership and is compassionate. I was thinking that the other candidates could do Florida better if they stayed here and established their careers in providing the jobs they say can provide by going to Washington. from Pensacola, Fl by Deborah

Comment: Easiest race to pick ever from Pensacola, FL by Melvin

Comment: Right now I'm undecided, with candidates stealing campaign signs, cops being arrested, judges being removed from their benches. I just wonder if there actually is candidate who would do his job that he was elected to do HONESTLY!!!! from Milton/FL by Dawn

Comment: Great move for him to leave the GOP and go I. from pensacola fl by jim

Comment: Rubio is a bully. A little punk. At least that is what he acts like. His entire campaign has been negative keeping everyone informed of what Crist is doing. from PENSACOLA by BETSY

Comment: Crist has shown too many tendencies for following Obama's agenda. Can't trust him to represent the people of Florida. from Destin by Pat

Comment: Crist wants to protect our pristine beaches by not letting the oil companies industrialize our beautiful Florida Coast. Florida's tourism and fishing industry cant afford another BP Oil spill. from pensacola,fl by t

Comment: Well at least we no longer have to figure out if he's a "RHINO" or not. from pensacola florida by Cliff

Comment: Crist is a man with no principals, he goes with the wind not good choice for senate. rubio is young but has the qualitys to be a great senator. from pace, fl by regina

Comment: I believe he is for Florida. The rest are for themselves. from Pensacola/Florida by Nellie

Comment: I've had too much of a wishy-washy, back stabbing Christ already. time for some new comers. I doubt the polls show the anger of senior citizens who bore the brunt of Christ back stabbing. from Baker, Fl by Wally

Comment: My answer is based only upon the fact that the correct answer IS NOT LISTED. If the correct answer were listed, it would reflect that it is nobodys' business who I do or do not vote for. That is a quick refresher course in why they do not allow polling of the voters outside the polls. Our nation has been founded on the principle that voting is a sacred duty and the individuals choice is between him/her and God. That is why our system of government has been around for as long as it has. We have something good, and it should not be taken so lightly. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom

Comment: When push comes to shove, Charlie tries to do what's best for the people of Florida. We need more people in D.C. who are "of the people, by the people, and for the people", not more party puppets! from Gulf Breeze, FL by Gary

Comment: Meeks need to be our senater so he can help Barrack Obama do what he want. Black folks gonna straighten out Bush mess. by Kruneesha

Comment: A vote for Crist is a vote for more of the same mistakes we have seen in the past 2 years. from Molino, FL by Joseph

Comment: Crist is my choice. This politician was pushed out of the "little repugnants party" simply because he gave the president a respectful-hug and hand shake and accepted funds from the federal government in order to assist the people in his state. He crossed the "No to Everything Repugnants" line and did what he thought was in the best interest for the state. While you don't have to agree with everything an opposing party does, there are some issues that are easily agreeable. Christ doesn't say "NO" on all issues simply because he wants to destroy sitting president no matter the cost to his state. This is a man of reason and the reason that I will vote for him. from Navarre by HB

Comment: Not sure. Ole Charlie gets to look good because of the economy and the oil spill. However, he tends to spend money he doesnt have. I'd probably go with Rubio, but its way to early. from Gulf Breeze/FL by Don

Comment: crist definately...and anyone but a republican conservative...theyre definately not a friend of government workers... from pcola fl by h

Comment: Crist lost my vote when he left the party and talked to the Dems about working with them if they would help with his campaign by Jim

Comment: Gov. Crist couldn't win his own part's nomination, so he bailed. Rep. Rubio is the true Conservative in this race. His views on immigration are better for Floridians, and he won't kowtow to the "Administration" like Crist will! from NICEVILLE by ED

Comment: I think Rubio would make a good Senator. from Pensacola Fl by Judy

Comment: I will vote for Crist because I think he has more experience, but I think Rubio is a very strong candidate, and he would be my 2nd choice. Too bad he and Crist are running for the same office. from Pensacola, FL by Clare

Comment: There is only one true conservative in this race. from Pensacola, FL by Charles

Comment: Crist's handling of the BP mess and his wanting to stop all offshore drilling cost him my vote. Green and Meek are Democrats. I will be voting for no Democrats. That leaves Rubio. from Navarre, FL by Mort

Comment: iam a democrat but plan on voteing for crist from pensacola by dee

Comment: Crist is in Obama's pocket, he will do the same if elected to the U.S. Senate. I hope voters remember the hug. from Pensaacola, Florida by Audrey

Comment: voting for crist is the same as backing obamas' policy from pensacola by billy

Comment: Although several look like good representatives of the people, I believe Rubio is the best choice. Crist runs a good second, but then is is a turncoat to his own party so you never know where he will jump. from Pensacola, Fl by Oscar

Comment: do not want a tea party favorite Marco Rubio. He is a republican lobbyist favorite. He says he wants to decrease our debt but he is for the tax cuts for the rich and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which can only add to the deficit. He only believes in cutting social security and medicare which many people come to depend on and have paid for most of their working career. Social security is not going broke and can be strenghtened by making the rich pay their fair share. Make them pay taxes on all of their income, not just the first $106,000. Marco Rubio wants to protect the rich from paying their fair share. from Navarre by Chris

Comment: We need fresh new politicians. from Pensacola by Dave

Comment: Governor Christ has a good reputation across the nation and has worked tirelessly for Florida. I also like the fact that he is an independent. Quite frankly, I am disgusted with the Democrats and Republicans, although I am a registered Republican. from Cantonment, Fl by Sandra

Comment: Ib from Baker/FL by Ronald

Comment: Crist wants the BEST for Floridians. from Pensacola Fl by Marge

Comment: We do not need a Democrat like Crist as senator. Can not trust Crist. from FL by William

Comment: Always liked Charlie Crist, but he will do anything to win. Don't trust him anymore. Voting for Rubio. by John

Comment: No more democrats! from NAVARRE, FL by RICH

Comment: Crist is to liberal from Milton by Steve

Comment: Any Republican. The Democrats have proven themselves to be untrustworthy of my vote. They have screwed the public by voting a bloc for Obamas stupid "break our back" policies. If we do not get some Republicans that care for the people, our financial goose is cooked. How do you Democrats like your Barak HUSSIEN Obama, now? from Pensacola, Fl by Franklin
