Comment: Yes, Definitely! However I do not feel like the amount that individuals will receive will be enough to pay, utilities reconnection fees, interest on loans, etc... You do NOT have a certain amount of time you have to PAY UC, so therefore they should NOT have a cut off on how long you are allowed to receive it. Most people that are unemployeed are NOT unemployeed because we want to be. Most of us are in our late 40's to 60 years age range and MOST companies do NOT want to hire us. OUR Governement needs to put theirselves in our places. MOST of elected officials are in that age range and would NOT be hired as well. Companies want to hire and train people who will be able to stay with their companys a while, therefore looking at younger aged people... I have been unemployed for going on two yrs. and fall into this age range, I can not get ANY kind of medical help or cash assistance, because I do NOT have children or I have not reached retirement age.
