| 2.53% | Unsure |
Comment: Sluggish response so far and too much of the blame game. from Pensacola by John
Comment: I think the government "Obama" administration is doing a horrible job ! If this happened during the Bush adminsitration the left would be ALL OVER him I don't see the administration doing much of anything. How come the news isn't all over this administration doesn't make sense. Are they "liberals" going to blame Bush for this also ? from Pensacola by Jay
Comment: Outraged doesn't even begin to cover it. God help us. This is the worst enviornmental disaster we have ever seen. To see it unfold in our back yard is terrifying to say the least. Wait until we see what the oil, it's chemicals and the dispersants do to the Gulf and to us. Where's the President, where's or Senators and where's the Governor? Disapprove? You bet I do. from Pace,Fl by Joy
Comment: I totally disapprove. When is Obama going to put his foot down and tell BP to blow the pipeline? Do we have to wait until they destroy the whole Gulf Coast. Its been over a month and all I hear from the Obama adminastration is who's at fault well we don't care we just want the oil to stop gushing into the Gulf. I say blow the pipeline and stop BP from ever useing that well agian. from Navarre, Fl by Mary
Comment: It took 9 days before obama did anything. I guess that this was George Bushes doing also. from PACE FL by LARRY
Comment: I think they Federal Goverment has again shown us how bad they are at responding to an emergency. The current administration need to quit talking about BP paying for it and just fix the problem like by using micorobes that eat the oil. from Destin/Florida by Brian
Comment: about a week ago, obama did not man-up to the 'spill' by saying what we(the people)wanted:"...bp is not doing the job(finding out the problem/fixing the problem with the oil spill)...","...we the gov't will step-in and STOP the oil spill..."
Comment: Disapprove.....Obama is handling the oil spill just like everything else he and his administration has been involved with....Terrible.. No one seems to have a clue what to do and he never get an expert that might know what to do involved... Obama hasn't done anything since taking office so why start now.. from Niceville fl by Robert
Comment: It appears BP can do anything they want. The EPA politely asked them to quit using the toxic chemical Corexit but BP continues to use it. This well is in Federal Waters but our government still allows BP to do whatever they want to. Andrew Jackson ran the British out of New Orleans in 1814 maybe it is time to do it again. from Gulf Breeze by Ben
Comment: I am really disappointed in the lack of urgency that BP and our government have displayed regarding the oil spill. You would think that after a month that something could have been done to close off the leak. from Pensacola by Gerry
Comment: Obumble & his inept administration of losers could screw up a three car funeral.I thought Vietnam was a clusterfucck but these clown's give new meaning to stupid, ineffective, gutless & naive'. from pace
Comment: I disapprove of almost everything our President has done. Honestly look at what he has done. We deserve much better. He is a poor excuse of an American. from Pensacola, Fl. by Franklin
Comment: If you asked the question. Do you approve of the way "fill in the blank" has handled the oil spill, all my answers would be no. From the President all the way down to the local level, and of course, especially BP. from navarre by ron
Comment: While he sits on his behind, accommodating Calderon about the brave Arizona Immigration law, people on the Gulf Coast are losing everything. THIS IS HIS KATRINA,LIKE IT OR NOT. from Baker by John
Comment: No I do not approve since they aren't doing anything to help contain the leak. They are just pointing fingers. from Navarre, FL by Marisol
Comment: Other than the usual blustering about what should be done, and who should be held accountable; I don't Mr. Obama's administration doing anything...buisness as usual from Pensacola FL by William
Comment: I disapprove of this administration for allowing BP, Transocean, and Halliburton to retain control of their assets. I also disagree with this administration allowing the Coast Guard to be used as bodyguards and spokespersons for BP. The disinformation has been going on for a month now, with BP lying and masking the enormity of this disaster. To say this is outrageous does not begin to address the situation. It is criminal. from Gulf Breeze, FL by Lori
Comment: I am not enthusiastic, but I can assure you the people who are howling loudest against what the administration has done since the oil release, would have screamed even louder, and asked for impeachment if the administration had stopped all drilling in the Gulf as a preemptive measure and checked out all wells to make sure all rules and regs were being followed. They would have said he was trying to sell the country to the Middle East and ruining the total economy of the country. I remember Bobby Jindal complaining about any government intervention in any sort of business. Lots of locals were yelling "Drill, Baby, Drill", now they are the biggest mouths in condemnation. Total hyprocrisy from Pensacola, FL by Jason
Comment: I don't approve how anyone is handling the leak, especially the Obama Administration. from Destin, Florida by Tess
Comment: They are wasting time putting cameras in the bottom of the Gulf. Work on the leak Obama. Ed Markey said that BP has no credibility. Well Mr Markey thats the way I feel about our government. by Deedra
Comment: The Obama administration let this rig operate without an enviromental impact study and proper permiting procedures - then they didn't do the required monthly inspections. AND they didn't have fire booms in place like they were supposed to do. from Navare, FL by Mort
Comment: These racist Rush limbos need to leave this man be. He our President. he doing a wonderful job on this oil leak. We need to open the border on mexico and stop profile on colored peoples. Yes we can! from Pensacola by Reggie
Comment: their lack of attention of getting involved took way to long. Yet this admin is getting a pass on their lack of taking care of it properly so they can give into green peace and the other whacko enviromentlist al gore loving numbnuts from gulf breeze/fl by James
Comment: I think the Obama administration has failed the nation and should have reponded much sooner, within a day, not ten days later waiting for BP to ask for help. This is an catastrophic spill and will greatly effect Louisianna, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida for many years to come. It will kill marine wildlife for many years effecting the fishermen, tourists, restaurant and motel owners just to name a few. I think everthing is not being done. Use more coastal skimmers, especially offshore of Louisianna now, so the oil doesn't reach the wetlands or shore anymore. Possibly using oil socks to soak up oil and not water, wrung out collecting the oil in a reservoir and then returning the socks back into the water to collect more oil, repeating the process over and over. from Crestview,FL by Michael
Comment: Albeit I am not satisfied with the Obama Administration, I don't really think the federal gov't. can be faulted in this case. BP and their associated players ARE TO FAULT. End of discussion. Why does the media always try to make a mountain out of a mole hill (so to speak)? Let's put the blame where it belongs and not be sucked into 'the blame game'. For God's sake, point fingers all you want after the fact. Let's clean up the mess and then waste all the time we want on playing the blame game. from Mary Esther, Fl. by Tom
Comment: Everyday we find out more information that has not been correct. It will be years before we find out how bad things are right now. from Navarre/FL by Michael
Comment: He isnt, BP , contractors, locals are the ones doing this. Someone is giving Obama credit I guess for making a TV appearance saying he will do what it takes. He dont know what it takes! Just like what his job is...he is what you call a celeb President. All show and a very articulate boob. from Pensacola,FL by Flower
Comment: Has he done anything right. No but he knows how to spend money on useless things. from Pace by Donna
Comment: I feel our damage is getting worse everyday and what is being done is too little to late if we brought our military experts in and stop this, then make BP pay for it. All it would take is a call from the white House and this could be done.. We are now years from eco repair and with each gal. we slip 3 years or more backwards. from Ft. walton beach fl by Sandra
Comment: Stop using chenicals that are hiding the oil by sinking it, making it more difficult to clean up, and are killing animals. from Loxley AL. by Butch
Comment: If BP can't stop this by Tuesday with the Top Kill method then it's time to call in the Navy and blow the well head. What do we have to loose, anyway. BP's time line goal for the relief well is Aug 14th and by then the entire Gulf will be poisoned. from Navarre, FL by Chris
Comment: Screwing things up as usual from Lucedale, Ms by Ron
Comment: i just wonder what the "disapprove" people would like to have more done? i just wonder how the sam poll would have been if BP was called upon and not the political adminstration? from p'cola fl by h
Comment: To much talk by everyone and not enough action. Time for the states to handle it and get the Feds out of the way. Everyday I go to the beach and pick up bags of trash. The oil will just be added trash to the trash people are leaving now. We should be ashamed that we are so lazy we cannot pick up our own mess. Stop complaining about BP and Obama, clean up your own mess first. Just like your right to vote. You don't vote then stop complaining. Can't clean you after yourself stop complaining about Obama and BP. from GULF BREEZE FLORIDA by DANNY
Comment: I voted for him and I'm very upset at the lack of response from the Obama White House. from kentucky by sandy
Comment: This isn't the hope or change any of us wanted. At least by now if Bush were in office people would have known he was incompetent and resources would have been used to fix this much faster without waiting for the presidential administration to fix this. from PA by Rich
Comment: I feel to much trust is being put on BP when they are going to try to save a dime not so much the Gulf coast. What happened to the Kevin Costner invention to filer oil from water, designed for this type disaster? from milton by grady
Comment: I don't think anyone can hold the government responsible for a private company's negligence in preventing the spill and in rectifying the problem. Once the government assumes responsibility, it will also be straddled with the high cost of the clean-up with BP needs to be held responsible for. The government should, however, ensure that there are sufficient safety and regulatory standards to prevent such a travesty from ever occurring again. from Cantonment, Fl by Candace
