President's Speech: What was your reaction to the president's speech on healthcare reform?

40% Positive
50% Negative
10% Didn't watch it

Comment: Thought he hit the nail on the head. It is past time to break the strangle hold the insurance companys have on us. If the insurance co.'s are against it then it must be good for us! from Pensacola FL. by NeaL

Comment: He lies....again! from Pace by Sandra

Comment: Federal Goverment is deep in debt we can't afford it. from Pace/ Fl. by Ferren

Comment: He is such a LIAR LIAR LIAR!!! Illegals will be covered! Read the bill and know your laws people - he lied so many times during his speech if he was Pinnochio his nose would have stretched across this country!! Read the bill. He is lying to us all as are Pelosi and Reid. By the way where is the coverage of the Baltimore Acorn mess. Gee nowhere on ABC. Brown nosers! from Gulf Breeze FL by D

Comment: Had more important things to than listen to a lieing ass. from Pensacola,FL by Flower

Comment: This speech reinforces my positive outlook on this plan, now if those negative people would just step aside, perhaps those of us who will benefit from this health care plan can. from Brewton Alabama by Shay

Comment: The CNN poll was intentionally skewed, polling democrats 2.5 to 1 over republicans. Other polls(rasmussen) show over 50% against his plan. The fact that you are reporting these misrepresentations as truth is shameful. You should be serving the public, not the government. from Pensacola, Fl by Kevin

Comment: Nothing in life is FREE. They should fix one thing, then when it is done, go to another. If this passes, it will take at least 100 years to pay for it or maybe even longer. I don't know where they are finding all these people that want it. Nobody that I have talked to wants it to pass. from Baker, Fl. by William

Comment: A BIG bunch of Lies -- he is leading us into socialism and will continue down that road as long as we stand by and allow him to do so. Check out ACORN and the undercover film – and how acorn has now sacrificed the 2 women employees!! Our tax dollars support acorn! What will you - as WEAR TV report about this?? from Milton, FL by Carol

Comment: President Obama cleared up alot about what HE wants for the health of this Country. Socialism? NOT. I'm tired of the falsehoods being thrown around. from Pensacola, FL by S

Comment: i don't trust him to tell the truth from milton fl by richard

Comment: when he opens his mouth- it's lies, lies & more lies from Milton, FL by Ann

Comment: I was working last night, and fortunately for me, I didn't have to make an excuse for missing it. I didn't believe his campaign promises, didn't vote for the man, and he hasn't yet shown me any reason to change my mind. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom

Comment: AN AWESOME SPEECH AND NOT A WORD OF UNTRUTH. HEALTH CARE REFORM IS ESSENTIAL AND WILL BENEFIT EVERYONE. ALL PARTIES NEED TO WORK TOGETHER TO DEVISE THE BEST PLAN FOR ALL. from PENSACOLA by SHARON

Comment: Mr. Obama was not being truthful-he wants to pass health-care change at any cost to make him self look good. His plan would be a disaster financially and for the health of our country. from Pensacola,Fl by Lela

Comment: It was the same garbage as before. It's not about health care. It's about health care INSURANCE. Insurance companies averahe 4% net profit or 4 cents on the dollar. Obama and his left fringers are selkling the fact that 4% of $100 million is greater than 4% od $1 million is a GRAVE SOCIAL INJUSTICE. One lie piled on another from the administration full of tax cheats and marxists. from Navarre, FL by Mort

Comment: I watched it and thought it was a good explanation of the goals of the program. I am a senior on Medicare, but I am not worried about my health care. I am very concerned about my grown, working children, and grandchildren who do not have health insurance, can't afford private insurance, and therefore, can't even get routine screenings or vaccinations. My fear is that I will have to completely deplete my life savings to help them out in a medical emergency. I don't know how people think working people who make less than $40 000 annually can afford $12000 for medical insurance. I have two grandchildren that have pre-existing conditions, and therefore will never be able to get health insurance on the open market, and jobs sure do appear to be on the horizon that will offer health insurance. from Pensacola, FL by B

Comment: The speech really gave nothing new. It was just more of the same that we have heard for months. If anything, it only stregthened my resolve to oppose the bill. from Loxley, AL by Bob

Comment: went to sleep. blah, blah, blah from FWB, FL by Jon

Comment: He did not tell enough about the healthcare bill. I do not believe him when he says he can implement the program without raising taxes. from Cantonment, Fl by Sandra

Comment: I am so tired of him on television. He also needs to stay out of the air and do some work at the White House/ He has no plan for healthcare all he is doing is talking and saying nothing. He is bankrupting the USA from Pace,FL32571 by Betty

Comment: He lies !! from Navarre,Fl by Terrance

Comment: Still no details! If we believe in freedom of speech why is the President handsoff in congress by wilson? They should be able to handle wilson's reasons for saying "you lie". President Obama should have asked him why he thought he lied. What was he afraid of? from pensacola by robert

Comment: THE HEALTH CARE REFORM WILL WORK IF THE PEOPLE WANTIT TO WORK. THERE IS SO MANY NEGATIVE PEOPLE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR ANYTHING TO GO WRONG. AND WANT THING TO GO WRONG. THEY KNOW IT WILL WORK FOR THE USA. BUT BECAUSE IT PRESIDENT OBAMA THEY WANT IT TO FAIL. from PENSACOLA by CATHY

Comment: I think it's great that the President wants Universal Health care. However, the Republicans won't let that happen: they are making too much money from the Health Insurance Companies. All those lies they are telling everyone about the health Care proposal: what page of the proposal is that on. Just as an example: go to page 4 of the proposal and you will see, in black and white, reference to illegal aliens not being part of the bill. I'd like to see the Republican Party quote the page numbers when they make a point. They can't do it of course, they would rather scare everyone. And to be honest, most Americans won’t do the research to see if what others say is true or false. So, unless the Democrats get some back-bone and pass it without the Republicans there will be no Universal Health Care coverage this year. But that’s not going to happen either. from Pensacola by Ivan
