Comment: Yes, he deserves another chance that's what is wrong with society today. They don't give convicted criminals a second chance after they have served their dues. This causes them to revert back to a life of crime because we don't allow them to make a living the legal way. We leave them like they always have this black cloud hoovering over them. Please give him a chance to redeem himself we all make mistakes and want to be forgiven. from Pensacola, FL by Sara
Comment: If you can allow Bill Clinton to remain President after what he did. I guess anything is possible for scum! from Destin by Kay

Comment: Yes, of course. If he has served his time, he has paid the dues society felt due. He is now a free person again - and should be able to do whatever he is skilled for. from Pensacola / FL by JR
Comment: Absolutly not! God gave him a talent and he abused it. Anyone who would treat animals that way does not deserve a 2nd chance at his career. We are football people and we thought he was awesome QB but Not now. He needs to use his money to help pitbulls who suffer this way ,he doesn't even look remorseful or cares wht he did to those poor dogs!! from Pensacola, Fl by Paula
Comment: he paid his dues. from shalimar florida by william
Comment: i really think that he deserve another chance because everybody deserve asecond chance he really brings a lot of excitement to the game . there are other players in the league that have committed crimes equal or worst and was gave a second chance so dont end a good career on a bad note. from pensacola, florida by thomas
Comment: yes i do thank Vick deserves another chance in the NFL.BECAUSE I AM A BIG FAN AN DONT HATE ON HIM GET THE UNITED STATES TOGATHER BEFORE YOU JUDGE FOR VICK. from pensacola fl by resheka
Comment: Anybody that will treat an animal in that way is obviously a sick person, I only wish the people that do this sort of thing could be disposed of in the same fashion as they did innocent animals. I only hope he is never allowed to own or be around another animal. from Milton/Fl by Gregory
Comment: pro athletes are role models for children. Kids look up to these players..I don't think Vick is the right role model for any child..He had his shot and blew it..He should move on and find another career,Who needs another convicted felon in pro sports.. from Milton,Fl by Betty
Comment: Absolutely NOT!!! Not only is he a convicted felon, he is a disgrace to humanity, mistreating man's best friend in unconscienable ways... I can only imagine how he treats his girlfriends and children. No, he's made enough "easy money". He shouldn't be allowed to be anyone's sports hero again. from Gulf Breeze, FL by Emmie
Comment: yes he deserve another chance from pensacola florida by darlene
Comment: Of course he does. God ggave him a talent he should use. Every individual has made mistakes. He should be forgiven and people should move on.NO one deserves to be treated the way this young man has been treated. People attend church non Sunday and Monday morning they start judging and mistreating others simply because they do not look alike, or have the same background. from Mobile, Al by Joycelyn
Comment: The dogs that he tortured and killed did NOT get a second chance and neither should he!!!! If we let him go back to his wonderful career what kind of message are we showing to the people that are following in his footsteps. People have got to take this problem more seriously!!!! from Brewton, AL by Amanda
Comment: No!No!No! As being the NFL's highest-paid player at one time, some thought as to hiring someone to think for him should have occured. Ignorance of the law doesn't work in court, why should not caring about the law be any different.Money and fame has kept too many fellons on the street. We need to make an example with deterrence and keep Vick completely away from football. from Milton,Florida by Gerald
Comment: What he did was disgusting & he does not deserve to play in the NFL ever again. from Mary Esther Florida by Pamela
Comment: he has paid his dues to society. he should be able to pursue his dreams and endeavors...if he still has the ability to do so! from p'cola fl by H
Comment: He has paid his "dues" for being above the law. If his ego can stand it, he can "re-apply" to the NFL. from Gulf Breeze, FL by Don
Comment: He has been suspended from playing in the NFL. He does not deserve to ever play again. He is supposed to be someone (especially for kids) who people look up to. He should set an example. He is a disgrace to the sport. from Mary Esther FL. by Lars
Comment: What he did was wrong,I've seen worser. from Pensacola,Florida by Natalia
Comment: Never! Using the excuse as having grown up with that type of activity, shows no remorse. If he doesn't know right from wrong, then stay out of our NFL!!! from Fort Walton Beach, FL by Susan
Comment: Absolutely not. It's high-time that all of these "over- paid" athletes are sent a strong message. Their God-given talents should not be used in vain. Just because they are lucky enough to have such talent does not nor should it place them above the law.Whatever happened to the days of serving full sentences? Good behavior my butt; if he was on good behavior in the first place, he never would have lost his status. As it is, our kids of today have too many "role models" that don't deserve the status. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: i believe he knows the mistakes he made and yes it was sad what he did to them beautiful dogs but everyone deserves a second chance.people have done worse stuff then that and they got second chances so give him his second chance.. from pensacola, florida by marissa
Comment: WE ARE LOOKING AT A GROWN MAN WHO DEFINETLY KNEW BETTER. WONDER HOW MANY KIDS HE LET DOWN THAT CONSIDERED HIM A GREAT ROLE MODEL, NOT TO MENTION FINANCING SUCH CRUELTY TO ANIMALS. NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HAVE GREAT REWARDS WHO HAS DONE SUCH IN HUMANE ACTIVITY!!! from PENSACOLA
Comment: Absolutely not. from Niceville FL by Kelly
Comment: Absolutely not!!! He doesn't deserve the opportunity to make millions of dollars and be in the media anymore. I'm sick of people doing horrible things in this world and basically getting a slap on the wrist for it. I don't want to ever hear his name mentioned again!! from Ft. Walton Beach, FL by Tara

Comment: he should be suspended from any sports from ft walton bch fl by george
Comment: We need to stop acting like killing an animal is not a crime. It should be a felony in every state and this guy should NEVER be allowed to return to a football field or any other place that our children hold in high esteem! from Pace, FL by Dee
Comment: Everyone, regardless if they are law violators or not deserve a second chance at being productive members of society! Too many labels are used today and these labels can destroy an individuals self-esteem and self-confidence if used to keep people from changing their lifestyle. from Pensacola, Florida by Diane
Comment: A criminal should be made to serve their full sentence, and no special treatment afterward. from Pensacola, Fl. by Otis
Comment: If any of these people were real christans they would give him a chance. It is amazing how we over looked everything our past politicans did who are supposed to be the pennical as role models or even our religous leaders. I have seen other player do things much worse and the league have their cases dropped. from Pensacola/ Florida by John A
Comment: Everyone deserves a second chance/ from pensacola, fl by maskjf
Comment: he paid 4 his price!!! from pensacola, fl. by barry
Comment: Sure he should be allowed to play; right after he has been put in a pen with a grizzly bear whose cub he has removed. Fair is fair. from fwb, fl by janice
Comment: Absolutely not - children, right or wrong, seem to look up to sport's figures as heroes and this one definitely is not. He should STILL be in jail. from Fort Walton Beach by Sherry
Comment: Vick is a grown man and knew the extent of what he was doing was wrong. He is seen as a role model to people everywhere. He should not be rewarded for this unexcusable behavior. from Pensacola FL by Bridget
Comment: yes, under very strict stipulations that should get less and less as he meets them. He should be signed as a third string at the league minimum and hold a clipboard for a little while. However, I do believe that once he has paid his dues he should be back on top as long as he has earned it and paid his dues. from pensacola by jackie
Comment: Yes, He has served his time for his crime. He should be allowed to persue his former profession. from Al by Patricia
Comment: Yes he deserves a 2nd chance, you have people doing much worse to human beings & children but when its time for there trial they go free with a slap on the risk. Because the color of his skin wasnt exceptable he was charged. Its ashame AMERICA cares more about an ANIMAL then it does a real live child or person. from Navarre Fl by Racquel
Comment: Although I detest the dog fighting arena, I believe that he has paid his price to society and should be given a chance to move forward with his life-after all what is the point in paying your debt to society if you can't start over? from Pensacola, Florida by Brenda
Comment: He should be aloud to return to the NFL! Maybe not right away but eventually, Dogfighting has nothing to do with football. Some may look at it as a bad example but we all make mistakes. from Pensacola,Fl by Marissa
Comment: PEOPLE!! we are talking about ANIMALS. He didn't kill a person. I think with all the fines and bankruptcy, he has paid enough. I personally don't like the "gangster type mentality", but they were dogs. from Fort Walton Beach FL by Cheryl
Comment: No he is a con vick from Pensacola by kenny
Comment: This guy is a felon!I don't think he deserves anything!! from Satsuma,Al by Mario
Comment: He have a right to work at his profession. from Pensacola, FL by W.L.
Comment: If he had only hurt himself I would say yes. But he and his partners trained animals that look to us for kindness and companionship and will defend us to the death if necessary. They made those dogs fight each other just for sport and monehy and did not even humanely dispose of the animals that died. How do you know that was not your dog that was forced to fight. Lots of people who arrange dog fights go to pounds and claim dogs as there own or adopt them to fight. Think about that. from Niceville/Florida by NiteHawk
Comment: Is this the ethics and standards society wants for young people? He had his chance and he blew it more than once. from Pensacola, Fl by d
Comment: We all are sinners, we all some bad things and us and God gave us a second chance so I think that Michael Vick deserve second chance. from Pensacola FL by Forgiveness
Comment: The NFL needs to get rid of gangsters and druggies and teh multi million salaries... lets go to salary caps for all players and penalties for off field actions... from MIlton, FL by Bob
Comment: NO NO and NO.....he does not deserve a second chance. He has already proven what type of person he is. Any person with an iota of integrity would not have done what he did. Just because he served a prison sentence does not mean he has changed. Any regret he feels is probably only because he got caught. Take a look at the pictures of the dogs that are still alive and just wonder what hell he and his friends put them through. from Pensacola, florida by Linda
Comment: Absolutely not. He was blessed, had his chance and blew it. He was in a "role model" position, he promoted violence, animal abuse, criminal activity, lack of respect. He nor anyone else with a felony criminal conviction should be allowed to play in a professional sport. A person is not able to gain reputable professional employment with a felony conviction. Why should they be allowed to play professional sports? Because they are talented and have the ability to help their team win a Superbowl? We should not be rewarding criminals and paying them millions because they have athletic talent. Apparently what Vick had was not appreciated and he choose to throw it away. If the NFL reinstates anyone after a deliberate act of a felony offense, it would be a disgrace to the league. from Pace, Fl by Julia
Comment: He did his time, now people need to let it go and give the man a new start
Comment: If our President can have an affair and remain in office, why should a football player lose his job over dogs? from cantonment, fl by G
