| 83.63% | Yes | |
| 16.36% | No |
Comment: Commercials in general are getting out of hand with the sexual overtones. from Niceville, FL by Bill
Comment: I don't like having children exposed to these ads. I really don't want to have to explain "an erection lasting more than four hours" to my toddler. I am also opposed to ads for prescription medication, as the public can not access such medication without seeing a doctor. from Chumuckla, Florida by Sandra
Comment: Yes, Yes, Yes. I am soooooooooo tired of them. Every other commercial. Most men are at work or not home during the day I don't think. This really should be a night time commercial !!!!! from Pensacola, Florida by J.
Comment: get them off the air period . from milton by harold
Comment: Absolutely!! If not taken off the air altogether. I find the ads offensive and insensitive to the many seniors who don't have partners. from Pensacola, FL by Melanie
Comment: They show female hygene prducts and birth control ads. So where do they draw the line? Herpes, HIV, and cervical cancer all have ads that go all hours. Erectile dysfunction is a proven medical condition as well. As the mother of 3 little girls I don't have a problem explaining to them that it's a medical condition that happens to some men. Versus explain S.T.D. ads as something that can happen when your careless. from Theodore, al by Lisa
Comment: This is an adult medical problem and therefore, only adults should have to hear these advertisements. Little kids do not need to ask their parents during dinner "Mommy, what's erectile dysfunction?" from Pensacola, FLl by Karen
Comment: No way. Most of us old farts are in bed by that time!
Comment: Yes, both E.D ads and Oprah should move to late night. Oprah really has a lot of trash on her show that is no good for children and she does not care! And I bet you won't show this answer on your news case. from Pensacola / Fl by Charles
Comment: I have a very smart 7 year old who loves to watch the news with me almost everyday. I also currently have my 14 year old sister who lives with me and it's an almost everyday occurent that I see either a commercial for E.D. or a trojan commercial or a vaginal lubricant commercial. As I understand that the companies want to sell their products, they need to take into consideration that when a family is sitting down to watch the news in the morning, that is not something that a parent wants to discuss with their child first thing in the morning or have to explain what that product does or why it makes that guy smile sooo much!! All of it should be late night for adults. from Mary Esther, FL by Amanda
Comment: It is not right for little kids to see and hear that , then ask about it,. It should not have to be explained to a little child. You can't always flip the channel in time. from Pensacola,Fl;32503 by Denise
Comment: Good for the congressmen that want to limit these ads to only late night hours. They should difinely be limited to late night if not done away wtih completely. There is enough trash on TV already for everyone to be exposed to espeically our young people. They don't need anything else trying to make them think that sex is the most important thing in life. God bless these congressmen I hope they succeed. from jackson al by deborah
Comment: I say yes only if they also were to make feminine hygeine products, birth control, herpes, and alcohol ads not to be shown until late night. At least not to be shown during dinner times or prime time. from Gulf Breeze, Fl by Mike
Comment: It is completely absurd to air these ads on day time tv. from Pensacola, FL by Mary
Comment: Children do not need to be exposed to this type advertising. from Shalimar, FL by Bob
Comment: You have got to be kidding. With all the T&A,drug shows to make bucks for MGM etc...and we worry about a Viagra ad??? I think all would agree..wahts next..panty liners and tampons. Get real here this is a human function and the only thing I see that needs to be ran at 10-6 is a Congressman like Idiot Jim Moran be confined to those hours. What a lunitic.God, whats next pamprin? from Pensacola,FL by D
Comment: These ads should be saved for a later time. Kids don't need to hear information about private matter such as this. from Crestview by Michele
Comment: lol! i think that some of these congressmen should be taking and benefitting from ED drugs! maybe it'll let them loosen up a bit and not be so edgy...hmmm on the same note...maybe the whole conservative side should be taking it for that matter..."families for E.D."? how do you think that have a family without the E in the D part? lol! let the ads run... from p'cola fl by h
Comment: I am a grandmother of three pre-school aged grand daughters and I resent having been placed in the position of explaining these advertisements. These issues should not be addressed before general sex education from Crestview, Fl 32539 by Marshas
Comment: Shouldn't be allowed at all. It's between a doctor and patient. The doctor has total control of what drug is prescribed even though it's advertised on TV. from Birmingham Al. by Jim
Comment: IT'S HARD TO EXPLAIN TO YOUNGER KIDS. from PENSACOLA FL by JAMES
Comment: YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!!! make them go away! Every :10 - :15 seems like they are on. My children are made uncomfortable as well as us as their parents. Come on America...wake up. from pensacola, fl by very
Comment: ED is a medical problem, and should'nt be advertised at all. especially when young people are watching TV. It should be handled by a qualified doctor, and a pharmacist. from pensacola fl by jim
Comment: Really? This is what law makers and people are worried about? We have enough goverment in everything we do. Whats next? from , FL by A
Comment: I do not believe there should be ads like this where children can view them. This should be private between Dr. and patient! I am from the old school and apparantly there aren't enough people left to voice their opinion, or they are scared to do so. Everything went to pot when they took prayer out of schools and have spiraled downward ever since. Lets stop some of this nonsense now! from Lillian, Alabama by Glenda
Comment: Thank God enough folks had enough. My son is 9 and I should not have to explain erections to him during prime-time TV, including High Vis sport events such as NFL games. from Baker/FL by Michele
Comment: I am incensed by the flagrant disregard that the pharmaceutial companies have for the exposure that they provide for our youngsters for the concept "erectile dysfunction", just in the interest of their profit. I have written a letter to our state rep about the problem. Here is a copy of it. Thank you for addressing the situation. Dear Mr. Gaetz, I am wondering if anyone is doing anything about the fact that pharmaceutical companies are exposing our countries adolescent children to the concept of "Erectile dysfunction" I feel outraged that for profit, these monster companies are promoting the innocent to ask what erectile dysfunction means, without any public resistance. You can imagine my feelings if you imagine that the next time you are surrounded by innocent school children aged 5-8 years old, one of them asks you this question. It is not the place for them to educate our children inadvertently or intentionally. DO SOMETHING PLEASE John Thrasher from Niceville, Fl by John
Comment: They play feminine hygiene product commercials at all hours, so what's the difference? More government control, that's what the difference is. Or perhaps these politicians need to USE these products so they can screw something other than taxpayers. from Cantonment, Fla. by J
Comment: Its very embarrassing to watch these ads with your children or grandchildren in the room... from Holt, Fl by Donna
Comment: I personally loathe these commercials, particularly during dinner/supper hours. I am trying to catch up on the news and weather (while eating with my family) and get a deluge of commercials about different types of e.d. control products. I was raised to believe that was the type of thing you discussed with your doctor, not for public dissemination. Of course, it's all a stick from the phamaceutical companies to earn a buck. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: I also believe all prescription drug ads should be removed and while they are in the mood, remove all the lawyer ads from Navarre, Fl by Bill
Comment: Absolutely! There should not be ANY type of advertisements of this nature on the television. Restrict all such advertsing completely. from Pensacola Florida by PJ
Comment: restrict the hours so our families need not be subjected to this type advertising. from Albany, GA by A. N.
