CIA Memos: Do you believe the release of the memos on CIA interrogation techniques jeopardizes the safety of the U.S.?
| 80% | Yes | |
| 20% | No |
Comment: How can it not! We have to do what we have to do to get sensitive intelligence from anyone who has demonstrated a high probability of knowing things that would be harmful to the citizens of our United States! from Milton by Robert
Comment: I think its crazy to let our enemies know what we do in situations like interrogation. It's like telling them not to be afraid of us because this is what we do if we have to interrogate you. Theres some things that should be kept top secret. from Milton by Teresa
Comment: No, what really jeopardizes the safety of the U.S. is our relationship with many other countries. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the Cole, etc; the US immediately blasted the rest of the world. Instead of targeting those who actually instigated the attacks (Radical Islamic extremists) we targeted an entire religion. THAT jeopardized the safety of the U.S. Bush II said "if you are not for us you are against us". All he and his cronies did was increase the number against us. from Pensacola, FL by Karen
Comment: You could not make that determination unless you heard all the information first. However you can bet the dirty laundry is there. There has always on both sides of conflicts been wrongs committed..yes even in our fine country. from Pensacola,Fl by D
Comment: That is what happens when you put someone in office who can't pass a simple FBI background. from Fairhope/Alabama by Cheryl
Comment: no! but it does show us that the bush administration, republicans, conservative christians, and the CIA are no better than the terrorists and the rest of the world... from p'cola fl by h
Comment: If you think for one nano-second that this is going to improve our "diplomatic" image in this world, you have another thought coming - hopefully the right one. We do not attempt anything more or less "torturous" than ANY OTHER MILITARY OR PARA-MILITARY organization in the world. To use this line of thought, would put us equal to or surpassing what Nazi Germany did during WWII. Think about it! from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: This and almost everything he has done, shows disrespect for our laws. Lets not forget this. from milton by carole
Comment: No, it will show the rest of the world that we are the leader of the free world and that we do what we say. from Gulf Breeze by Carson
Comment: the president is out of touch with the real world on subjects like this!!!!!!!! from Milton, FL by Richard
Comment: It does not make any difference on the topic. It is a general rule, that you do not give information to an enemy that he can use against you - period. from Gulf Breeze, FL by Don
Comment: What did you expect from a muslim president? I do not see cuba giving back the land they stole or property, yet he opened talks. Chavez is "Nationalizing American companies in South American" why not just give them the white house. I didn't vote for the Obama Admin. After hearing from Soldiers who can't get medical treatment in Iraq and are down to one MRE a day, I think that Obama has "Nationalized the United STates" and the democratic party could not be happier. from alabama by patti
Comment: MANY YEARS AGO THIS KIND OF TREATMENT AND TORTURE OCCURED, BUT BACK THEN THEY WERE CALLED NAZI'S AND JEWS, and instead of former BUSH BACK CIA CHIEFS. they were called the SS from MILTON/FLORIDA by RANDALL
Comment: I don't understand the need to divulge this type of info other than for O's admimistration to appease the left in this country. One thing the press does not say is that these tecniques DID work. from Navarre,Fl by Terrance
Comment: When ever you give information to your ememies is harmful to our country. from Navarre, Fl. by C J
