Comment: The same weapons are used for hunting. Face off with a wild boar or any large bear and you want as many shots as you can get. Until the constitution is amended they have to be legal. from Navarre by Bob
Comment: No you cannot legislate for random shootings. When you allow government or Knee jerk reaction to the shootings in Ala. If you allow goverment to elliminate you right to buy or not buy any fire arm then you will never have that right ever again and will open the have that right again. from Pensacola Fl 32501 by Paul
Comment: GUN BAN WILL NOT STOP THIS from fortwalton beach FL by james
Comment: None from Milton Fl by James
Comment: By definition, "Assault Rifles" are capable of fully automatic fire. These weapons are already closely controlled by the BATF through licensing. from Abilene, Tx by Bob
Comment: True assault weapons are already illegal to own without a BATF tax stamp, "assault style weapons" is a media driven catch phrase and can be used to describe ant semi-automatic weapon. Once you start allowing weapons to be outlawed because of appearance or possibly illegal conversions all guns will be outlawed. If law enforcement is still being out gunned after the L.A. bankrobber, the local politicians should pay to rearm them and train them to keep up with the threats they face today. from pensacola,FL by Jeff
Comment: We should not limit citizens' freedom, especially when there is no evidence the limitation will have the desired effect on crime, as in the case of this prohibition. from Mondovi Wisconsin by August
Comment: alcohol kills more people every year than crazed gunnman but no one is considering banning that just another way to keep us from protecting ourselves from a libaral government and a dictater from pace by mike
Comment: once again the only people you control when you ban weopons are law abiding people which not only takes away another one of our freedoms but deters us from being able to protect our selves. when will ignorant and nieve people stop trying this every time some wierdo or criminal does this. what will we do when no one but the criminal has that weapon. thats exactly what a ban wouild cause. from lillian by ky
