| 75% | Yes | |
| 25% | No |
Comment: I work in long-term care and with our aging population, should feel relatively confident about my job. However, with cuts in government programs and increases in health care costs, you have to worry if companies can stay in business and provide the much needed services for our deserving seniors. from Crestview by Karen
Comment: i think everyone should be worried about lossing their jobs...especially those making less than $200K a year...the ones who are not benefitting from the the republican tax cuts in the past... from p'cola fl by h
Comment: I work for Cox Communications and they informed us this past week that layoffs would start soon. No one knows who will be selected so it is nerve racking. I thought I would be a supervisor soon but now this happens. I am very worried. from Penacola by Joe
Comment: I quit a job of 4 years to go with a company for a better job opportunity, and 3 months into the job they were giving out insufficent payroll checks, and it was a nightmare getting my money. I could not believe that the DA could not do anything for 15 days till I wrote a letter, what fraud. I have been on unemployment since August with over 100 resumes and applications, MCC said they get 800 a day here in Penscola, but my trust in GOD! I know he has a place for me soon. Blessings to all of you, Ms Leskovec from Pensacola, Fl 32534 by Virginia
Comment: I'm not concerned about losing my job due to any "economic crisis" per se. As a security officer, regardless of how bad things may get, there will always be a need for my services. The question then is, as it has been ad infinitum: can I get paid commensurate with my skill and tenure? The answer (as with most professions is a resounding NO.) I am concerned about ill-advised management decisions. from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: I am a second year teacher and worried about the lower amount of students. This means that teachers will be let go and nobody is hiring. So how would I support my family? My daughter graduated last year with her degree in elementary ed and she is still looking for a job. I think they should start looking at ways to cut the budget on the higher end of the pay scale. If they cut one higher end teacher they could keep two new teachers. from Milton, FL by L
Comment: I already did lose mine two weeks ago. I was replaced by someone to work for almost half the pay. from Pensacola, FL by Scott
Comment: I work for a department at the local utility company and we are facing downsizing in a few short months. With the economy and job market the way it is now, I'm scared to death that I won't be able to get another job once mine is gone. My husband has been out of work for months, and I'm afraid we would definitely lose our house when my job goes away. It's really stressing and depressing. from Pensacola by M.
Comment: Well I've been laid off for months now. My wife who just finished college can't find a job either. We are looking at losing everything we have. It's a damn shame AIG couldn't send a few of their suits down here for vacation...lol from Pensacola, Florida by Duane
Comment: As a small business owner, I am in fear of losing everything and having to find a job. As jobs are not available right now, the future is uncertain. Due to the fact that our economy is in such a poor state, cut backs and laying people off as wells as job shortages, people are not buying anything other than necessities causing small business owners to shut their doors.
