WEAR ABC 3 IN THE MORNING NEWS
The Mississippi River is flooding the casino town of Tunica, Mississippi today.
It crested in Memphis yesterday at historic levels. Now Mississippians are preparing for the worst. They're bringing in sandbags and even new "aqua-barriers" in a desperate attempt to keep the Mighty Mississippi out of their homes and businesses.
Next the excessive water will flow to Vicksburg and eventually New Orleans. Experts expect it to be June before the river returns to normal.
CNN's Holly Firfer joined 3 In The Morning to show us what's happening on the riverbanks in Tunica.
