• ANGELS IN OUR MIDST

It just doesn't come as a surprise any longer.

Whenever there is a call for help along the gulf coast, you have always answered.

This year, when so many people are facing difficult times themselves, you still reached out to share the joy of the holiday season with others.

Tonight, we take a moment to just say, thank you, to the Angels In Our Midst.

Knowing the challenges facing so many families, the man who believes in Christmas and children, started the campaign with a 15-thousand dollar donation.

Armstrong World Industries Local 2460 brought in contributions from their annual road block at the plant.

Faced with their own difficulties, Sherri Davis and Solutia employees took care to meet the needs of several older foster children who are aging out of the system.

And always known for a grand entrance, the Chariots rode to the rescue with a donation in hand. Their ride for the children is becoming an annual event in support of communities caring.

Sue, you said there are "no" bicycles....

When Bob Solarki put out an appeal for bikes, you responded in a tremendous way. More than 200 bicycles rolled in over the next several days.

A very big thank you to the owner of Acoustical Specialist, Jeremy Empie Of Jesus International Ministries Scott Davis, Meriln And Rufus Rose, Oren And Sonja Funkhouser....each of you who put wheels under the movement....

Some donors found their special niches...Jennifer Davis provided clothing for our teens.

And children were very giving....Lauryn Reid, Noel Fontaine, and the students at Beulah And Lipscomb Elementary Schools.

The Pensacola Model Railroad Club will have the little riding the rails again this year.

All of our friends who attended the holiday evening in Old Seville were very generous.

Our resident author and historian John Appleyard is still bringing in donations for the volume eight of the Pensacola Mysteries.

Our favorite son returned home for his annual visit. This year, Tampa Bay Bucs' Derrick Brooks played Santa at Hallmark Elementary School. He's already making plans for next year.

Dr. And Mrs. Ken Mitchell and the staff at Medi Weight Loss Clinic bought dozens of baby cribs, toddler beds, car seats and diapers for the many babies coming into foster care.

And the Angels and Elves at Gulf Power always provide the light. They begin fund raisers in january each year and then they take their own money and set aside special days to shop just for the children we serve.

We could never pull it together without the help of a tremendous corps of volunteers; especially our support from NATTC.

So many of you gave, even though it may have been a special sacrifice this year to do so. While we may not call you name by name, know that we are grateful. And on behalf of the children, we say thank you.Angels In Our Midst (Communities Caring At Christmas)
