Updated: Wednesday, July 9 2014, 04:29 PM CDT
A military contractor formerly from Niceville has pleaded guilty to defrauding the Government.
John Sims was charged in a 34-count federal indictment last August.

He pleaded guilty to five charges, including bribery, conspiracy, and theft of Government property.

Prosecutors say Sims was a civilian employee of the Air Force and took bribes from two contractors in exchange for steering contracts their way.
He could face prison time, fines, and restitution payments.Local military contractor pleads guilty to defrauding Government
