Festival of San Fermin in Pensacola pays homage to city's Spanish heritage

Updated: Monday, July 14 2014, 08:07 AM CDT
Seville Quarter is recreating the running of the bulls in downtown Pensacola for the Festival of San Fermin.

It's an homage to the city's Spanish heritage.

The Running of the Bulls is scheduled for Saturday, July 19th at 10 a.m.

It is just like the Festival of San Fermin in Pamplona, but  there will not be real bulls in downtown Pensacola.

Instead, skaters from the roller derby leagues will dress as the bulls and chase runners through a two mile course.

If you are running, it is customary for the runners to wear all white with red sashes.Festival of San Fermin in Pensacola pays homage to city's Spanish heritage
