Erika has dissipated

Important Links

The remnants of what was Tropical Storm Erika are just south of southern Florida.  The trough of low pressure is moving W/NW at about 20-25 MPH.  That motion is expected to continue for the next 24 hours.  Southern and Central Florida will likely get heavy rainfall today and Monday.  Rainfall amounts could top four inches.

There is a 20% chance of re-development of the system in the eastern Gulf of Mexico over the next two days.  The impacts are expected to stay mostly the east of our viewing area for the duration, but we will continue to closely monitor the situation.
