Pay it Forward 08/01/13 (Pat and Nan Ross)

Updated: Saturday, August 3 2013, 02:06 PM CDT
When I took my sign reading, "I'm giving away $500. Ask me how," I instantly got the attention of Pat and Nan Ross.
The couple told me about a family friend who was blessed with an even bigger surprise than our $500.

"We have some friends who have quadruplets," Nan told me.

Spencer and Tiffany Lunsford went on their first date on a band trip for Hobbs Middle School.
They then went to Milton High School together, were college roommates together, married each other and then had not one, not two, not three, but four babies together - and all at the same time!
Spencer is now a math teacher at Milton High and Tiffany is a teacher at home, with a small but energetic class of four.

Pat and Nan wanted to share our Pay It Forward surprise with the Lunsfords to say thank you to a local teacher.
They also thought $500 would go a long way for the young family of six.

Nan called Spencer and asked if she could bring birthday presents by the house for the two-and-a-half year olds, but didn't say she'd be bringing by a news team, a camera and $500 in cash!
When we arrived, Miles Bentley with Hill-Kelly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram gave $500 to Nan to share with Spencer and Tiffany but then the money was passed along one more time.

"That's $125 a kid. That's a good haul!" Nan said as she put $100 bills in each of the toddler's birthday buckets.

The Lunsfords used the money to start college funds for their little ones.
With Spencer being a teacher, education is important in the Lunsford home.
So much so, the quads were named with the ABC's in mind" Addy, Blyth, Cali and Drew.

Spencer said, "We've already been Paid It Forward. We've got four beautiful babies," but that Channel 3's Pay it Forward was a reminder, "It is one of those things that makes you feel good about being in a community like this."
