Starting today, Americans are able to go online and search for health care coverage under "Obama Care."
There have already been some technical glitches with the https://www.healthcare.gov/.
But the Obama administration says those are being fixed quickly.
Adding the government shut-down will not effect this next phase of the Affordable Care Act.
The government website allows you to shop around, compare plans and buy insurance regardless of age gender income or pre-existing condition.
"More choices more competition and in many cases lower prices. Most uninsured Americans can find they can get covered for $100 or less."
Prices vary by states.
Doctors and networks vary by plans.
You must sign up by December 14th to get coverage by the start of the year.
If you don't sign up by the end of March, you won't be able to get insurance until 2015 and could be subject to a fine.
