Flu and pregnancy
Updated: Friday, January 18 2013, 04:56 PM EST
Getting the flu is dangerous for pregnant moms -- but there's virtually *no* risk in getting a flu shot.
That's the conclusion of a study published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Researchers found *no* evidence the influenza vaccine increased the risk of fetal death in pregnant women.
The study came about after many pregnant moms expressed concerns over taking the vaccine during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.
