Gary Schonour; " We've been coming since my son was three years old, now he's ten. So, we've been coming for the past seven years."

For seven years the Schonour family has dedicated three days to the Communities Caring at Christmas big distribution weekend.

Tina Schonour, A Caring Heart; "Before we even got married, really wanted to try to find a program that we could help, hands on, that we knew where it was going, that it was a good effort that we could be involved in."

And it's always been a family affair. Even when he was only three, they brought Brandon, not for fun, but for him to see.

Gary Schonour, A Giving Spirit; "What it's all about. And he has, he really has. He appreciates a lot of things a lot more than he ever has before. And that's one of the main goals out of all of this."

Mom; "I really want him to grow up to be a good man. And we try to lead by example."

Brandon seems to sense the importance of what he's doing. He puts thought into every gift he selects.

Brandon Schonour, The Littlest Angel; "If it's the right toy for them or not."

It's about giving and making a difference where you can.

Brandon; "To provide for others. So it shows like responsibility."

Dad; "For the kids."

"Just to help out. That's what it's all about."

Mom; "Writing a check is wonderful. Sometimes you may not be able to do that but you can do other things to help. There's always something that you can do for someone else that needs it."

Whatever it is you're able to give, the Schonours say the feeling's the same.

"It makes me feel good to know that I'm picking a gift for a kid who needs it more than me."

"When we walk in the doors here at the fairgrounds, I always say, Now it feels like Christmas. When you walk in and you know what you're doing for other children, it just makes all the difference."Angels In Our Midst (Schonour Family)
