PENSACOLA  -  A Pensacola man... charged with murder...appeared in an Escambia County court this morning.

20-year-old Brandon Davis is charged with felony murder in the shooting death of Jared Ortiz last month.

Investigators believe Davis and another man stormed into the Oakcrest Lounge in the early morning hours of October 23rd... and fired several shots.

Ortiz was shot in the back of the head as he sat at the bar playing poker.
A judge appointed a public defender to Davis today, but the case was delayed until November 25th.
That's because the grand jury will not meet until the day before, on November 24th.
