WASHINGTON   --  The designers who built the Affordable Care website healthcare.gov were in the hot seat on Capitol Hill today.

Lawmakers from both sides are demanding answers over why people have had so many problems logging into the site.

CGI is the lead contractor - and it's senior vice president said the web program passed eight required technical reviews before going live on October 1st.

After footing the bill, the American people deserve something that works or start over
Frankly, the website should have been the easy part. I'm also concerned about what happens next. Will  enrollment glitches becomes provider payment glitches? Will patients show up
 
At their doctor's office or hospitals to be told that maybe they're -- they  aren't covered or even in the system?
   
There are still no answers on when the problems will be fixed.
But contractors continue to promise that no one will miss next year's deadlines for healthcare registration.
