Real -- or a marketing gimmick?
"Superfoods" are becoming very popular in the nutrition world.
Are they're as good as they sound.

Broccoli  sweet potatoes grapefruit Oh my !!!!
They're just a few of the items being touted as "Superfoods "They may not save the world, but experts say they may rescue your health.

DR: Are there really super foods?
LD: There really is no formal definition for the term super foods but basically the term implies the food is going to offer you super nutrition and health benefits such as reducing the risk of disease improving your mood
 and even helping with weight loss too

 To make the "Super" cut, the food has to pack enough punch to offer 10% of your daily value  that's  17 different nutrients

Topping the list of nutrition packed foods   - romaine lettuce , red peppers, brussel sprouts  and watercress

LD:  I was actually surprised that watercress ranked the highest  12 it was rich in Beta Carotene ,Vitamin C ,Folate ,Potassium ,  Fiber and any other nutrients as well
DR: watercress who knew !

But Fruits and veggies aren't the only foods elevated to super status

DR: Now salmon that's a no brainer to me Omega 3's right?
LD:  exactly and we know Omega 3's give skin benefit heart benefits

So how can you slip these foods into your everyday diet? Tip # 1 : The rainbow affect

LD: If you look at the rainbow as a sort of variety of colors and you include a lot of colors in your diet you're pretty much covering your basis

-And Tip # 2  Don't be fooled by "Superfood" marketing gimmicks

The term actually came out of nowhere it's a marketing term it's not a medical term because "Superfood" is meaningless anyone can market their food as a Superfood
