Curbing childhood obesity rates in the state.
That's the mission of the new "Nature Play Prescription" Program launched by Florida's Department of Health today.

The program allows physicians to write a one time pass for kids and eight of their friends to get into a state park for free.

"Children being able to get into Florida state parks will encourage them to be more physically active and be able to address health issues that they're facing."

The one time pass will be good at all 161 state parks.

The Obama administration achieved a major victory in late June when the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to uphold the nationwide subsidies for the Affordable Care Act. Open enrollment for 2015 is closed but people with special circumstances can still get covered on healthcare.gov.
