HEALTH:  Government finalizes restirctions on meds containing Hydrocodone story image
The federal government is finalizing new restrictions on hundreds of medicines containing a highly addictive painkiller.

Hydrocodone -- has grown into the most widely prescribed drug in the US
The new rules mean that Vicodin, Lortab and other generic versions will be subject to the same prescribing rules as painkillers like codeine and oxycodone.
   
Patients will be limited to one 90-day supply of medication and will have to see a physician to receive a refill.HEALTH: Government finalizes restirctions on meds containing Hydrocodone

The Obama administration achieved a major victory in late June when the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to uphold the nationwide subsidies for the Affordable Care Act. Open enrollment for 2015 is closed but people with special circumstances can still get covered on healthcare.gov.
