CHRISSIE HYNDE HAS A NOT-QUITE-SOLO SOLO PROJECT

LONDON (AP) -- Chrissie Hynde feels a bit dishonest calling "Stockholm" her solo album. She says it's actually a collaboration but her collaborators wouldn't be in a band with her, so she put her own name on it. She does have a backing band who will support her on tour, though. There's nothing profound about the first single, "Dark Sunglasses." She says it's simply about a guy who wears sunglasses. There is something profound about the video: Hynde is not in it. She says for 30 years she's loathed videos and always begged not to appear in them, only to be met with laughs. "Stockholm" comes out June 10.

NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FEST GIVES SPRINGSTEEN MORE TIME

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has done some rearranging of the schedule to allow Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band some room to rock. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports when the schedule was released in March, Springsteen was slotted to play an hour and 50 minutes. Springsteen is famous for sometimes playing three hours. The schedule has now been revised so Springsteen can play two hours and 45 minutes. He will take the stage on May 3.

"SOUL TRAIN" PLANS BROADWAY RUN

NEW YORK (AP) -- The hippest trip in America is coming to Broadway. Stage and film producer Matthew Weaver has acquired the theatrical rights to "Soul Train." Weaver is one of the masterminds behind the show and film "Rock of Ages." Weaver says he will hire a writer and work on music rights. He won't speculate on when the show will open, only saying, "When the story's right." He says the heart of "Soul Train" is a great story and great characters, as well as fashion and music.
