Erika Remnants

Important Links

The remnants of Tropical Storm Erika are expected to move into the southeastern Gulf Of Mexico on Sunday.  The trough of low pressure is moving west-northwest.  That motion is expected to continue Sunday, then a turn to the north is forecast.  Southern and Central Florida will get heavy rainfall today and Monday.  Rainfall amounts could top four inches.

There is a 20% chance of re-development of the system in the eastern Gulf of Mexico over the next two days.  The impacts are expected to stay mostly the east of our viewing area for the duration, but we will continue to closely monitor the situation.
